Famously able to lap Ferrari’s Fiorano test track as quickly as an Enzo, the F430 Scuderia created quite the splash when it arrived. Comprehensively re-engineered to transform the already exciting F430 into a focused (and fast!) car for the most enthusiastic of drivers, the Scuderia saw nearly every system upgraded. The car weighed more than 200 pounds less than the standard F430, thanks to the use of lighter bumpers, more carbon fiber, standard carbon ceramic brakes, less sound proofing, Lexan rear windscreen, and lighter interior trim including the elimination of carpets. The engine gained 20 horsepower, partly due to a higher compression ratio, making 502hp from 4.3 liters, more than 116 hp per liter. The suspension was upgraded with lower, stiffer springs and front tires were widened and stickier Pirellis were selected. More downforce was also added via revised aerodynamics, while the transmission’s shifts were sped up and the traction and stability control substantially upgraded.
The result was a car that could do 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds, genuine hypercar figures for the era. Fabulously naturally aspirated and still with hydraulic steering, the 430 Scuderia offers tremendous feedback in a way that feels like it’s from a different era compared to today’s cars.
This two-owner Scuderia is finished in black with gray stripe and black alcantara interior. It was optioned with yellow tachometer, dark gray stitching, carbon fiber steering wheel with LED shift lights, carbon door sill covers, and fire extinguisher. Additionally, the car has PPF and comes with books, tools, jack, owner’s manual, and tire repair kit. New tires were fitted 2,000 miles ago, and at 13,000 miles, the car received a major service at Ferrari of Silicon Valley, at which time the clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, cam cover gaskets, and upper and lower balljoints were also replaced.
